We leave for the UK THIS WEEK! This season has been full of change and uncertainty. Like many of you guys are experiencing, Mad unfortunately lost his job earlier this month. He worked as a music agent in touring in the entertainment industry which has come to a screeching halt and likely won’t be back until there is a vaccine. It’s been a month of navigating finances, emotions and wondering what’s next. And while we don’t have all the answers, as a family we’re staying thankful for the good that has come out of a hard situation.
Due to this recent change, Mad’s been able to come onto Happily Grey to lead the launch of a new brand (hoping that we get to share more on that soon!). And with more flexibility, we decided that now more than ever, it felt right to take this trip as a family.
That said, traveling can be hard to navigate right now. It’s something you guys have asked me a lot about since the beginning of COVID, and I don’t know that there’s a right answer. You have to do what’s best for you – taking into consideration your risk, the risk of those you love and your own comfort level.
For us, we’re taking every pre-caution to do this as safely as possible – not just for us but for others as well. So important to me having been a nurse, and ESPECIALLY as a mom. Thought I’d share some of my tips with you guys below!
Side note – a lot of you guys are asking about asking about our system for traveling with Navy. Here’s what were’ using…
- Pockit Stroller – I packed this in my carry on – it’s amazing. It’s 10lbs and folds into a small square…so convenient!
- Car Seat – We’ll gate check this so we can have the carseat in the UK, but we bought the travel cart so she can ride in through airport in her carseat.
- Travel Cart – This attaches to Navy’s carseat so she can ride through the airport without having to lug around her carseat and a stroller…super easy and inexpensive!
